Junior Developer (Python)

Webbuggs is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Python Developer to join our development team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with some practical experience who are eager to enhance their Python programming skills in a professional setting. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced developers to build reliable software solutions, contributing to various stages of the development lifecycle while gaining hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Write clean, readable, and maintainable Python code.
- Assist in developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining Python-based applications.
- Collaborate with senior developers to implement new features and resolve technical issues.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs as needed.
- Work with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Understand existing codebases and contribute to ongoing development projects.
- Identify bugs, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Follow coding standards, version control practices, and development guidelines.
- Participate in code reviews and team discussions.
- Document code and technical processes when required.
- Learn and apply new tools, libraries, and technologies relevant to assigned projects.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python programming.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
- Familiarity with data structures, functions, modules, and exception handling.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database operations.
- Understanding of REST APIs and HTTP methods is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills
- Basic experience with web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of API integration and handling JSON data.
- Basic understanding of software testing and debugging techniques.
- Familiarity with Linux commands or command-line tools.
