Junior Internal Auditor (Sukkur)

The Junior Internal Auditor (contract, remote) plays a vital role in supporting the organization’s commitment to transparent and accountable financial and operational practices. This position involves assisting in the planning and execution of internal financial audits, reviewing documentation and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance, and contributing to the preparation of clear and concise audit reports. The Junior Internal Auditor will analyze data to identify trends, risks, and control weaknesses, working collaboratively with team members to recommend practical improvements to processes and internal controls. Coordination with finance and program teams is essential, along with professional communication of findings and maintaining strict confidentiality and integrity throughout all tasks.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in planning and conducting internal financial audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Review financial documentation and transactions, verifying completeness and adherence to policies.
- Prepare clear and concise audit reports that summarize findings and recommendations.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and control gaps.
- Collaborate with finance and program teams to recommend improvements in processes and internal controls.
- Communicate audit findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and independence in handling sensitive information.
- Manage time efficiently while working remotely and coordinate with diverse teams across different locations.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of finance and experience or coursework related to financial audits.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate data, identify discrepancies, and assess internal controls.
- Ability to prepare and review audit reports and document audit findings clearly and accurately.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to present audit observations to non-technical audiences.
- High attention to detail, ethical standards, and a commitment to confidentiality and independence.
- Capability to work remotely, manage time effectively, and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Interest in the nonprofit sector and alignment with Heal Social Foundation®’s mission and values.
