Junior IT Support Executive

Marcus Evans is a UK-based international company with offices worldwide, providing business information, events, and professional services across various industries and markets. We are currently seeking a Junior IT Support Executive to join our Islamabad office. This role is ideal for fresh IT or Computer Science graduates, or individuals at the start of their IT careers, who possess strong technical fundamentals and are eager to develop their skills within a global IT environment. The position primarily involves Level 1 IT support, and while previous commercial IT experience is advantageous, it is not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 technical support to users both locally and remotely.
- Troubleshoot issues related to Windows 10/11, laptops, desktops, software, and general hardware.
- Assist users with Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive, as well as other business software.
- Perform basic user administration tasks in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, such as password resets and account unlocks.
- Support Microsoft Intune device management and deployment activities.
- Troubleshoot basic network, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity problems.
- Log and manage support requests through the Service Desk system, escalating complex issues to senior IT teams as necessary.
- Help maintain IT equipment and provide hands-on support within the Islamabad office.
- Collaborate with wider IT teams to support offices across different regions globally.

Required Qualifications
- Degree or qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or currently pursuing such a qualification.
- Solid understanding of Windows operating systems and general PC troubleshooting techniques.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and networking principles.
- Interest in learning emerging technologies such as Microsoft Intune and cloud-based IT services.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- A helpful attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn and grow within the role.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Microsoft certifications such as MS-900 (Microsoft 365 Fundamentals) or AZ-900 (Microsoft Azure Fundamentals) are advantageous but not mandatory.

This is an office-based role located in Islamabad’s I-8 Markaz area, with working hours from 4 PM to 1 AM Islamabad time, including a one-hour break. Some flexibility in working hours may be accommodated when required.
