Steps Ahead Private Limited is seeking a Junior Manager Cold Chain to join their team in Karachi. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the management of cold chain logistics, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of temperature-sensitive products. This position involves close coordination with suppliers, logistics partners, and onsite teams to maintain the integrity of the cold chain while adhering to safety and quality standards. The Junior Manager will also assist in inventory management, process improvement, and provide regular operational updates to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in managing daily cold chain logistics operations to ensure timely and effective delivery of temperature-sensitive goods.
- Coordinate with suppliers, logistics partners, and onsite teams to maintain optimal cold chain conditions.
- Monitor compliance with safety and quality standards specific to cold chain management, including food safety regulations.
- Support planning and implementation of inventory management and distribution strategies.
- Conduct routine inspections of cold storage facilities and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Assist in developing and executing cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
- Provide detailed reports and updates on cold chain operations to senior management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Oversee transportation, storage, and distribution processes to maintain cold chain integrity.
- Implement process optimization strategies aimed at improving efficiency, reducing wastage, and minimizing temperature deviations.
- Utilize temperature tracking systems and data analytics for real-time monitoring of cold chain conditions.
- Collaborate effectively with logistics partners, warehouses, and suppliers to uphold cold chain standards.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in cold chain logistics, preferably within the FMCG sector.
- Strong understanding of refrigeration systems and temperature monitoring devices.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
