Junior SEO Specialist

Elite IT Team is seeking a motivated Junior SEO Specialist eager to develop expertise in both traditional SEO and the evolving landscape of AI-driven search. This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of PKR 40,000 to 65,000, commensurate with skills and experience. The successful candidate will work closely with content creators, designers, developers, and senior SEO professionals to enhance search rankings, increase organic traffic, and boost conversions for both the company’s brand and its clients. This position demands a proactive approach to understanding search intent, identifying opportunities, and continuously refining strategies to improve online visibility.

Key Responsibilities

- Optimize on-page SEO elements including title tags, meta descriptions, headings, URLs, internal links, image alt tags, schema markup, structured data, and FAQs.
- Create, edit, and optimize SEO-friendly content for blogs, landing pages, service pages, and other website materials based on keyword research and search intent.
- Conduct keyword research, analyze search intent, perform competitor analysis, and uncover opportunities to enhance organic visibility.
- Manage and optimize landing pages to improve keyword rankings, user experience, organic traffic, and conversions.
- Support off-page SEO efforts such as backlink research, link-building activities, competitor backlink analysis, digital PR, and outreach to relevant websites.
- Optimize content for Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) to increase chances of appearing in featured snippets, People Also Ask sections, and AI-generated answers by structuring clear answers and FAQs.
- Assist with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) to boost brand visibility on AI-powered search platforms through authoritative content, entity signal strengthening, citation identification, and brand mention monitoring.
- Implement technical on-page SEO improvements including schema markup, structured data, canonical tags, and image attributes, with guidance from senior team members.
- Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic, landing page performance, backlinks, and AEO/GEO visibility metrics.
- Perform daily SEO operations such as website audits, internal linking, content updates, competitor analysis, and applying SEO recommendations.
- Conduct content audits to identify gaps, outdated information, keyword cannibalization, and optimization opportunities.
- Assist in preparing SEO performance reports using tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar platforms.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to implement SEO strategies and achieve goals.
- Stay updated on Google algorithm changes, search trends, and advancements in SEO, AEO, GEO, and AI-driven search technologies.

Required Qualifications

- Basic to intermediate understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of on-page and off-page SEO, keyword research, and content optimization.
- Familiarity with meta tags, heading structures, image alt tags, internal linking, schema markup, and FAQs.
- Strong content writing, editing, and optimization skills.
- Understanding of backlink profiles, link-building fundamentals, and competitor backlink analysis.
- Basic knowledge of AEO and GEO concepts and how to optimize content for answer engines and AI-powered search platforms.
- Experience with landing page optimization, keyword tracking, and monitoring organic performance.
- Exposure to SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, or SEMrush is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Openness to learning, receiving feedback, and collaborating within a team environment.
