We are looking for a passionate and motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our development team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals seeking to gain hands-on experience in software development. You will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects while developing your technical skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy software applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging sessions, and performance optimization efforts.
- Assist in documenting software functionalities, technical specifications, and user guides.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and development methodologies.
- Support software maintenance activities and troubleshoot issues reported by QA or end-users.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as React, Node.js, Python, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with web development technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, or backend development.
- Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle and version control systems like Git.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities.
- A proactive attitude with eagerness to learn and contribute within a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Benefits:
- Internship or project experience in application development is advantageous.
- Exposure to Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience working with databases, either SQL or NoSQL.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines or DevOps tools is a plus.
- Candidates who are fresh graduates or have up to one year of professional experience are encouraged to apply.
This is a full-time, onsite position based in Lahore. Candidates must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Lahore prior to starting work, as the role requires working in person at our Lahore office.
