Junior SQA Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Tester with 6 months to 1 year of experience in manual testing to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of web applications through thorough testing and collaboration with development teams. This role requires a strong understanding of testing methodologies and the ability to document and communicate defects effectively. The position is full-time, based in-office, with working hours from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform manual testing of web applications to validate functionality and user experience.
- Conduct various types of testing including functional, smoke, regression, UI, and usability testing to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Identify, document, and report bugs and software defects clearly and accurately.
- Verify bug fixes and confirm that issues have been resolved to maintain software quality.
- Prepare and maintain detailed test cases and test documentation to support testing efforts.
- Collaborate closely with developers and project teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Ensure that applications meet both functional requirements and quality standards before release.

Required Qualifications

- A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience in Software Quality Assurance (SQA) with a focus on manual testing.
- Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Proficiency in manual testing techniques and the ability to write clear and effective test cases.
- Familiarity with bug-tracking tools such as Jira or Trello is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and think critically.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively report defects and collaborate with team members.
- Ability to work well within a team environment and contribute to collective problem-solving.

Work Schedule and Compensation

This is an in-person role with a work schedule from Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The monthly salary range for this position is Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000, commensurate with experience and skills.
