Junior Video Editor

CodeNexSys is seeking a creative and motivated Junior Video Editor to join our team in North Nazimabad, Karachi. This full-time, onsite position offers an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about short-form video editing and social media content creation. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of video editing, social media reels, and basic graphic design, and will be eager to develop their skills by working on real projects and campaigns.

Key Responsibilities
- Edit engaging short-form videos such as Instagram Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, and other social media content.
- Create videos from raw footage, images, and provided assets, incorporating transitions, text, captions, music, sound effects, and basic motion graphics.
- Adapt videos to various social media formats and aspect ratios to ensure optimal viewing experiences.
- Design basic graphics for social media posts, stories, thumbnails, and promotional materials while adhering to brand guidelines.
- Stay updated on current social media trends and incorporate relevant editing styles to keep content fresh and engaging.
- Collaborate closely with the content and marketing teams to develop creative ideas and concepts.
- Efficiently handle revisions and incorporate feedback to meet quality standards.
- Organize project files, footage, assets, and exports systematically to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Deliver assigned content within deadlines, ensuring timely publication.

Required Qualifications
- Basic to intermediate experience in video editing.
- Proficiency with video editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or equivalents.
- Understanding of social media content formats, trends, and audience preferences.
- Strong sense of pacing, composition, typography, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to select appropriate music, transitions, and visual effects that enhance video quality.
- Attention to detail and a willingness to learn and improve continuously.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Availability to work onsite and meet project deadlines consistently.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- A portfolio or examples showcasing Reels or other short-form video content.
- Experience creating content specifically for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or Facebook.
- Basic understanding of motion graphics and animation techniques.
- Familiarity with AI-based creative or editing tools is a plus.
- Photography or videography experience will be considered an advantage.
