We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchase Officer - Audit with a specialized background in the Construction Industry. The incumbent will play a crucial role in our procurement process, focusing on market research, rate verification, and ensuring the quality compliance of procured materials. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of construction material specifications, and the ability to manage vendor relationships effectively. 

Responsibilities: The candidate will perform the following duties;

Market Surveys:

  •  Conduct thorough market surveys to identify and evaluate potential vendors in the construction industry.
  •  Assess market trends, negotiate pricing, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards.

Rate Verification:

  •  Verify the accuracy of rates for procured items against industry benchmarks.
  •  Conduct cost analysis to ensure cost-effectiveness in procurement.

Quotation Management:

  •  Solicit and evaluate quotations from potential suppliers.
  •  Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements. Material Specifications:
  •  Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of construction material specifications. - Collaborate with project teams to ensure purchased materials meet project requirements.

Quality Assurance:

  •  Collaborate with the quality control team to assess and verify that the materials ordered align with specified standards.
  •  Implement quality assurance processes for incoming materials.

Vendor Relationship Management:

  •  Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
  •  Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues and improve overall procurement processes.


  •  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  •  Proven experience as a Purchase Officer in the Construction Industry.
  •  In-depth knowledge of construction materials and their specifications.
  •  Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  •  Detail-oriented with excellent analytical abilities.
  •  Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
