Operating System Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain Debian 11 and CentOS Linux distributions.
- Perform regular system updates and patches to ensure security and stability.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Monitor system resource usage and optimize performance.
Network Protocol Understanding:
- Possess a strong understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, FTP, SSH, SCP, Telnet, and other networking protocols.
- Troubleshoot network-related issues and optimize network performance.
Virtualization Management (vSphere Client):
- Administer virtualization infrastructure using vSphere Client.
- Manage virtual machines, hosts, and clusters for optimal performance.
- Implement and oversee virtualization backup and recovery processes.
Web Server Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain Apache and Nginx web servers.
- Monitor and optimize web server performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve web server-related issues.
- Implement and manage SSL/TLS certificates for secure communication.
Storage Management with LVM:
- Set up and manage Logical Volume Management (LVM) for efficient storage utilization.
- Extend, shrink, and manage logical volumes as needed.
- Monitor disk space usage and optimize storage.
Database Cluster Management with Galera:
- Install, configure, and maintain Galera Cluster for MySQL or MariaDB.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database cluster performance.
- Ensure high availability and data consistency within the Galera Cluster.
ProxySQL Administration:
- Deploy and manage ProxySQL as a database proxy to optimize database queries.
- Configure ProxySQL for load balancing and failover.
- Monitor and troubleshoot ProxySQL performance and connectivity.
FreeIPA Server Management:
- Administer and manage the FreeIPA server for identity and authentication services.
- Implement and maintain user authentication, authorization, and directory services.
Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Keep documentation up-to-date with changes and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in system administration and related areas.
