Assistant Manager Raw Material Procurement

The Assistant Manager Raw Material Procurement at Kitchen Cuisine plays a critical role in managing the entire procurement process of raw materials ensuring alignment with production plans and demand forecasts. This role requires direct interaction with suppliers for price negotiation, order placement, delivery scheduling, and issue resolution to maintain a seamless supply chain. The position emphasizes building and nurturing strong vendor relationships to guarantee consistent quality and timely deliveries. This role requires monitoring inventory levels closely to prevent stockouts and overstocking while collaborating with cross-functional departments such as Production, Quality Assurance, Finance, and Warehouse to maintain smooth procurement operations. The ideal candidate will leverage their experience with cash and carry platforms and a comprehensive understanding of procurement best practices using ERP systems and Excel for procurement-related data entry, analysis, and reporting. They will ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards while preparing procurement performance reports and assisting in vendor evaluations to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms. This position demands excellent problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills in a fast-paced food and beverages industry environment based in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials aligned with production plans and demand forecasts.
Engage directly with suppliers for effective price negotiations, order placement, delivery scheduling, and resolving issues to ensure smooth supply operations.
Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality, timely deliveries, and reliable service.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely replenishments with vendors to prevent stockouts or excessive inventory.
Collaborate with internal teams such as Production, Quality Assurance, Finance, and Warehouse to facilitate seamless procurement workflows and meet operational needs.
Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping for purchase orders, delivery schedules, pricing, and inventory data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Participate in vendor evaluations and support negotiations to secure favorable terms and cost-efficient pricing.
Prepare regular reports on procurement performance metrics including material consumption trends, supplier lead times, and current inventory status.
Utilize ERP systems and Excel extensively for procurement data entry, detailed analysis, and generating comprehensive reports.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Continuously identify process improvements and opportunities to optimize procurement efficiency and vendor management.

Required Qualifications

Minimum:

Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution.

Preferred:

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Procurement, or a related field.
Relevant experience in raw-material procurement, preferably within the food, FMCG, manufacturing, or food & beverage industry.
