Trade Executive

Knox Solar Pvt Ltd is seeking a dedicated Trade Executive with at least five years of experience in trade and import operations, preferably within the solar industry. This role involves overseeing comprehensive international trade activities, ensuring compliance with export and import regulations, and effectively managing supply chain processes. The Trade Executive will lead a team of five professionals, driving operational excellence in trade finance, documentation, and logistics coordination to support the company's growth in the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in international trade compliance and supply chain management, coupled with expertise in solar-related import and export activities. This position requires a proactive approach to managing trade operations and a thorough understanding of global trade regulations. The Trade Executive will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize trade processes, mitigate risks, and ensure seamless coordination of logistics and documentation to achieve company objectives.
Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of five trade and logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, import and export laws, and company policies, focusing on solar industry requirements.
Oversee the preparation and verification of export documentation, including customs declarations, shipping documents, and certificates of origin.
Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to streamline the movement of goods, reducing delays and optimizing costs.
Manage trade finance activities, including letters of credit, payment terms, and currency risk management.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with international suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and regulatory bodies.
Monitor changes in trade regulations and advise the company on necessary adjustments to maintain compliance and competitive advantage.
Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to ensure alignment of trade operations with business goals and customer requirements.
Implement best practices for international trade processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and documentation standards.
Prepare regular reports on trade performance, compliance status, and risk assessments for senior management.
