KSB Pumps Company Limited is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join their finance team. This role involves providing detailed financial analysis and insights to support decision-making processes, managing budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and financial accounting principles, with proven experience in independently managing financial close processes. In addition, the Financial Analyst will lead and coordinate a team of five finance professionals, fostering collaboration and driving accuracy in financial planning and reporting.
The Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of financial data and applying advanced analytical techniques to evaluate business performance and risk. Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling, coupled with excellent problem-solving and communication skills, are essential. This role demands the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently in a dynamic environment. Experience with SAP ERP systems, Big 4 accounting firm exposure, and knowledge of the import/export industry are highly advantageous. The individual will also manage external audits and handle complex reporting requirements, ensuring that company financial records adhere to compliance standards and support strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and analysis of financial models, budgeting, and forecasting to support business planning and decision-making.
- Manage the financial close process independently, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial statements in compliance with IFRS and company standards.
- Oversee a team of five finance professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management to accomplish team objectives effectively.
- Conduct thorough financial statement analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement across business units.
- Apply risk management principles to assess and mitigate financial risks impacting the organizations operations.
- Coordinate and manage external audits, liaising with auditors and ensuring audit requirements are met efficiently.
- Maintain advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel to develop and enhance financial tools and systems for reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting, operations, and compliance, to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.
- Utilize SAP ERP system functionalities to streamline financial processes and maintain data accuracy and integrity.
- Monitor compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, addressing any discrepancies or control issues promptly.
- Provide detailed reports and presentations to senior management, summarizing financial performance, forecasts, and potential risks.
- Balance multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality in deliverables.
