Lab Assistant – Networks

Air University is seeking a dedicated IT professional to manage and support computer labs at its Karachi campus. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth operation of computer labs, assisting both students and staff during lab sessions, and maintaining all IT equipment. This role requires hands-on experience with hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, and upkeep of devices such as computers, laptops, multimedia projectors, and printers. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of computer labs, ensuring availability and functionality for students and staff.
- Provide technical support during computer lab sessions and classes, assisting users with any IT-related issues.
- Maintain and service IT equipment including computers, laptops, multimedia projectors, and printers.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware and software to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with the Networks Department to address technical challenges and improve lab facilities.

Required Qualifications:
- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Instrumentation and Control Systems (ICS) or a Bachelor’s degree preferably in Information Technology or a relevant field.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in managing IT equipment and providing technical support.
- Strong practical knowledge of hardware and software installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- The terminal degree must be attested by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
- Candidates must be between 18 and 50 years of age.
- This position is based exclusively at the Karachi campus.
