Summary / Purpose
The Archery Instructor will operate under the direction of Incharge Sports.
Core duties will include facilitating community archery programs for youth and adults such as Intro to Archery, Archery Club, Archery League, and Open Archery.
Upon hire this position would require to train individuals for Archery team for competitions at National and International levels.
This position will work 8 hours/ day and requires a variety of weekend, weeknight, and daytime availability, typically facilitating archery training programme.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
The duties listed below are not to be considered an exhaustive or all-inclusive list of the position requirements; tasks may change or be adjusted as programs and situations require.
1. Facilitate community archery programs for youth and adults.
2. Responsible for establishing a detailed plan which outlines the program's projected lesson schedule and progress schedule.
3. Required to communicate clearly, courteously, and tactfully with students, parents and the general public providing excellent customer service.
4. Responsible for operating safe and quality archery range experience as well as quality archery skills education.
5. Ability to transport equipment, set up and tear down of equipment.
6. Responsible for administering good judgment and must possess the ability to contact the proper supervisors and authorities.
7. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Requirements
a. Age Must be age 21 or older.
b. Can understand and communicate in English.
c. Nationality. Chinese.
Education & Experience Requirements
a. Basic Archery Instructor (BAI) through NAP.
b. Experience in teaching, instructing, or leading archery activities.
Knowledge Requirements
a. Knowledge of safety hazards and necessary safety precautions sufficient to be able to establish a safe environment for archery program participants. b. Knowledge of basic fundamentals and techniques of archery to be able to perform a variety of duties related to the work assignment.
Skill Requirements
a. Plan, organize, coordinate and assist in the direction of the development and implementation of the archery program.
b. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
c. Exemplary customer service skills, including the ability to identify needs, provide prompt responses, and exercise patience, respect, and professionalism in all interactions.
Ability Requirements
a. Ability to create and maintain a positive working environment that welcomes diversity, ensures cooperation, and promotes respect by sharing expertise with team members, fostering safe work practices, and developing trusting work relationships.
b. Ability to listen actively and communicate effectively in order to understand the needs of program participants and the general public.
c. Ability to represent the organization to other agencies and citizens with a courteous, helpful, and friendly attitude.
d. Ability to maintain order to ensure safety and security.
Physical Ability Requirements
a. The position requires a variety of weekend, weeknight, and daytime availability, typically facilitating evenings archery.
b. Ability to stand for multiple hours and frequently moving and setting up archery equipment;
c. Ability to perform onsite general cleaning as needed.
d. Ability to lift and maneuver 25 pounds comfortably.
e. Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, and reach overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally.
f. Ability to attend work as scheduled.
