Laravel Developer (Entry-Level)

Contrive Solutions is seeking a motivated Associate Software Engineer with 1 to 3 years of experience in Laravel to join our development team based in Lahore. This full-time, on-site role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the creation of scalable web applications while working closely with senior engineers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for writing clean, efficient code and ensuring the delivery of high-performance software solutions in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain web applications using Laravel and PHP, ensuring adherence to best coding practices. Design and implement APIs and RESTful services to support application functionality. Optimize applications for speed and scalability, while troubleshooting and maintaining core product software to ensure robust performance. Collaborate effectively with frontend developers and other team members to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Participate actively in code reviews, technical discussions, and daily stand-ups to maintain code quality and team alignment. Additionally, prepare technical documentation as required to support development and maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is essential. Candidates must have a strong understanding of PHP and the Laravel framework fundamentals. Familiarity with MySQL or other relational databases is required, along with good knowledge of REST APIs and integration techniques. A basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend integration is necessary to collaborate effectively with frontend teams. Solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and experience using Git for version control are important. Strong problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and the ability to work well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment are also critical for success in this role.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Candidates with knowledge of modern frontend frameworks such as Vue.js or React will have an advantage. Experience with authentication mechanisms like OAuth and JWT is desirable.
