Laundry Attendant

The Laundry Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel's laundry services. This position involves handling the washing, drying, ironing, folding, and distribution of linens and guest items. The attendant must maintain a clean and safe working environment while supporting the overall efficiency of the laundry department.

Key Responsibilities
- Wash, dry, and iron hotel linens and guest clothing according to established standards.
- Fold and organize laundry items neatly for distribution.
- Distribute clean linens and guest items to the appropriate departments or guests in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the laundry area, including equipment and workstations.
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Operate laundry machinery efficiently and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring linen stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily laundry demands and maintain operational flow.

Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in laundry operations or a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to operate laundry machines such as washers, dryers, and irons safely and effectively.
- Good physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lifting of laundry loads.
- Attention to detail to ensure linens and guest items are cleaned and presented properly.
- Basic understanding of safety and hygiene standards in a laundry environment.
- Strong time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within set timelines.
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
