Laundry Boy

Hamsun Hospitality in Karachi is seeking a skilled Laundry Boy with hands-on experience in washing, drying, ironing, and managing various types of fabrics commonly used in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will have practical knowledge of fabric care and laundry processes to ensure high standards of cleanliness and fabric maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
- Wash and handle a variety of items including bed sheets, pillowcases, blankets, comforters, quilts, towels, bathrobes, curtains, and table linens.
- Understand and apply appropriate washing techniques for different fabrics such as cotton, polyester, lawn, linen, wool, silk, chiffon, satin, velvet, denim/jeans, and other delicate materials.
- Use laundry chemicals, detergents, fabric softeners, bleach, stain removers, and disinfectants correctly and safely.
- Identify various types of stains and remove them using suitable cleaning methods without causing damage to the fabrics.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment efficiently and safely.
- Sort laundry into categories such as white, colored, delicate, and heavily soiled items to ensure proper treatment.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the laundry area and ensure proper storage of cleaned items.

Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a hotel or commercial laundry environment is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of fabric care, washing techniques, and the use of laundry chemicals.
- Strong work ethic, responsibility, and attention to detail.

The position is based at Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi, with a 12-hour shift schedule. This role requires the candidate to work on-site to maintain the high standards of laundry and linen care that Hamsun Hospitality is known for.
