We are looking for a highly skilled and adaptable Remote Law Clerk with 3 to 5+ years of experience supporting legal teams in an international, remote environment. This full-time position involves handling a broad range of legal tasks across various practice areas, including Real Estate, Corporate, Franchise, Employment, Construction, Forgery, and Criminal Law. The successful candidate will provide essential legal, administrative, clerical, and secretarial support to ensure seamless operations for our global clients. This role requires excellent organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a remote team.

Key Responsibilities

Manage legal transactions from initiation to completion, including drafting, reviewing, and processing contracts, agreements, corporate filings, disclosure documents, and compliance materials. Provide specialized support across multiple legal domains: in Real Estate, assist with underwriting, title requisitions, surveys, searches, policy issuance, and fraud detection; in Corporate law, handle incorporations, amendments, due diligence, and compliance; in Franchise law, draft agreements and ensure regulatory compliance with North American laws. Support Employment, Construction, Forgery, and Criminal Law cases through case management, documentation, research, and general legal assistance.

Perform comprehensive administrative duties such as scheduling, data entry, document management, and maintaining organized client and case files. Manage correspondence, prepare reports, and draft legal summaries with accuracy. Support general office management tasks to facilitate efficient remote operations. Conduct thorough legal research on statutes, regulations, and case precedents across multiple jurisdictions, focusing primarily on Canada and North America. Stay informed about updates in statutes, underwriting guidelines, and compliance requirements.

Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, and external stakeholders including Account Managers, Lawyers, Mortgage Brokers, Realtors, Purchasers, and Vendors via phone, email, and virtual platforms. Provide timely updates, gather necessary information, and maintain positive relationships with all parties. Identify opportunities to enhance legal workflows and administrative processes within the remote work setting.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Law Clerk or Legal Assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department is essential. Proven ability to support legal professionals across multiple practice areas, with strong knowledge in at least two of the following: Real Estate, Corporate, Franchise, Employment, Construction, Forgery, or Criminal Law. A solid understanding of legal principles, agreements, regulatory compliance, and various legal document types is required.

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment are necessary. Proficiency in administrative, clerical, and secretarial procedures is expected. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, capable of handling client interactions and drafting complex legal documents, are essential. Advanced proficiency with legal software such as Clio, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), document management systems, and virtual collaboration tools is required. The candidate must demonstrate a strong work ethic, professionalism, discretion, and ethical conduct. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a remote team is critical. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are also important.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

A Master’s degree is preferred. Candidates with 5 years of experience working in Real Estate law firms will be given preference. Familiarity with Land Titles Systems in international markets is an advantage. Experience in underwriting processes, including reviewing title requisitions, surveys, and searches, is highly valued. Knowledge of fraud detection and risk assessment in real estate transactions is beneficial. Demonstrated experience communicating and interacting with Account Managers, Lawyers, Mortgage Brokers, Realtors, Purchasers, and Vendors is preferred. Prior experience working within a remote team environment is an asset. English language proficiency is preferred.

This role offers competitive monthly compensation starting from Rs100,000.
