Lead Administrator L1(Contract)

The Systems Administrator role is focused on resolving high-priority incidents through advanced troubleshooting, ensuring SLA compliance, and analyzing system performance trends. This position requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to implement mitigation measures and system improvements. The role involves managing Oracle Linux and Windows operating systems, supporting cloud services including Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and participating in disaster recovery and security assessments. The candidate will also contribute to automation, virtualization, and infrastructure optimization initiatives, with occasional US off-hours and weekend support.

Key Responsibilities

- Triaging and resolving high-priority incident tickets (P2), performing root cause analysis to ensure timely closure.
- Monitoring SLA compliance and managing proactive escalations within assigned technology areas.
- Analyzing system performance data to support capacity planning and optimize overall system efficiency.
- Collaborating with technical teams to create mitigation measures and evaluate new tools or improvements.
- Conducting disaster recovery drills, security assessments, and implementing controls to maintain compliance with security standards.
- Participating in weekly and monthly service review meetings, providing performance updates and supporting transparent stakeholder communication.
- Managing day-to-day operations of Oracle Linux and Windows OS environments.
- Maintaining and supporting Exadata, OCI, Azure Cloud services including VMs, Azure NetApp, firewalls, and network security groups (NSGs).
- Supporting Network File System (NFS) and providing platform support through ticketing systems for break-fix issues.
- Performing disaster recovery, patching, backup, and business continuity operations.
- Building, configuring, and securing server environments using standard configurations and automation tools such as Puppet.
- Adhering to global IT process standards including account management, permissions, naming conventions, and security policies.
- Documenting configuration standards, troubleshooting procedures, and infrastructure designs.
- Collaborating within a team environment to develop best practices and improve existing infrastructure.
- Contributing to the knowledge base by updating SOPs and knowledge articles to support future ticket resolution.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator with a proven track record of managing and completing complex projects.
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively with IT and business departments.
- Fundamental knowledge of infrastructure technologies including virtualized environments, storage systems, and cloud architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) operating systems.
- Experience supporting cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Familiarity with Azure NetApp storage solutions and Exadata database systems.
- Proficiency in Linux administration and automation tools like Puppet is essential.
