Key Responsibilities
You will join a distributed agile team focused on building a new SaaS platform that supports a suite of enterprise applications addressing complex data analytics and enterprise challenges. Your role involves designing, developing, and architecting the core backend platform, ensuring alignment with design, implementation, and quality standards. You will create architecture documents, functional specifications, design documents, and developer test plans. Coordinating the end-to-end development, deployment, and testing of new features and enhancements will be a critical part of your responsibilities.

Writing reliable, secure, performant, and scalable code is essential, along with conducting thorough code reviews and analysis. You will monitor platform performance and participate in on-call rotations to resolve urgent issues. Collaborating with customer support teams to address client concerns and integrating new technologies into the backend cloud infrastructure will also be part of your daily activities.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should have a minimum of 7 years of software development experience, including familiarity with container technologies such as Docker. Experience building highly available, scalable distributed systems for cloud environments is essential. A strong conceptual understanding of multi-threaded applications is required, along with professional development experience in GoLang, Java, C++, or Python.

Proficiency in Linux and bash scripting is necessary, as is adherence to good software development practices, including rapid development cycles, peer code reviews, and writing comprehensive functional and unit tests. Experience with microservices and REST-based HTTP/2 architectures is expected, alongside working knowledge of SQL (Postgres) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Elasticsearch) databases.

Candidates must demonstrate expertise in performance tuning, profiling, and using software metrics tools. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills are critical, as is the ability to apply creative problem-solving to complex engineering challenges. Familiarity with continuous integration tools like Jenkins and experience working within agile development methodologies is required. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential, along with a high level of energy, teamwork, and a proactive attitude toward learning new technologies. A working knowledge of networking and web concepts is also important.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure is highly desirable. Familiarity with container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes, as well as tools such as Terraform, Helm, and Docker, will be advantageous. Knowledge of network services including load balancers, security, and quality of service (QoS) is a plus. Understanding platform-level concerns such as configuration management, network request routing, blue/green or canary deployments, and in-service software upgrades will set candidates apart. Experience building API-based connectors to cloud-based SaaS services is also beneficial.
