Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Teknosys

As a Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer based in Islamabad, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and operating on-premises and private cloud environments with a strong emphasis on Kubernetes-based platforms, reliability engineering, and production operations. This leadership position demands deep expertise in Kubernetes cluster design, monitoring, automation, and infrastructure reliability. You will lead engineering teams, define platform roadmaps, and ensure the delivery of highly available, scalable, and secure environments that support mission-critical applications across multiple data centers.

Key Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and manage on-premises and private cloud environments that support mission-critical workloads.
- Build, upgrade, and maintain highly available, production-grade Kubernetes clusters with comprehensive lifecycle management.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, and automation tools to standardize and streamline infrastructure processes.
- Establish robust monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stacks, and Datadog to enable proactive issue detection.
- Lead reliability engineering efforts by defining SLAs and SLOs, managing incident response, and conducting root cause analysis for critical production issues.
- Enforce Kubernetes security best practices, including RBAC, network policies, and secrets management, while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams, collaborate cross-functionally, and contribute to the continuous improvement of platform roadmaps and operational maturity.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6 to 8 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or System Administration roles.
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes platform operations and cluster management.
- Proficiency with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere and OpenStack, along with experience in bare metal provisioning and storage systems like SAN, NAS, or Ceph.
- Skilled in Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages such as Shell or Python, with a strong automation-first mindset.
- Experience working with monitoring and logging tools including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, and Datadog.
- Familiarity with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar platforms.
