Lead, Compliance and Litigation

We are currently seeking a skilled legal professional to lead our Lahore legal team, ensuring that our business operations remain compliant and strategically aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the Lahore legal team by providing strategic updates to senior leadership on all legal matters. Conduct comprehensive legal risk assessments across business operations to align with company objectives and risk management protocols. Develop and manage litigation strategies, including oversight of external counsel, monitoring case progress, managing costs, and ensuring favorable legal outcomes. Ensure full statutory compliance and manage sensitive law enforcement inquiries with discretion and professionalism. Develop and implement compliance policies, while maintaining proactive communication with regulatory bodies and external partners to resolve legal issues efficiently. Draft complex, non-templated agreements and provide authoritative legal opinions on commercial and regulatory matters. Mentor and support the professional growth of legal team members, stay abreast of regulatory changes, and ensure consistent application of legal standards and necessary operational adjustments.

Required Qualifications
A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree is mandatory. Candidates with a Master’s in Law (LLM) or a relevant post-graduate diploma will be preferred. The ideal candidate will have between 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience in corporate litigation, regulatory compliance, or legal counsel roles. Experience within a multinational company, a technology platform, or a reputable law firm is highly desirable. A strong understanding of local statutory frameworks, compliance regimes, and protocols for handling sensitive law enforcement inquiries is essential. Excellent leadership skills, decision-making capabilities, and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively are required. Strong negotiation and communication skills are also critical to succeed in this role.
