Lead Design & Proposal Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Lead Design & Proposal Engineer specializing in ELV Systems to oversee the design, engineering, estimation, and preparation of techno-commercial proposals for ELV and Integrated Smart Building Solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in security, communication, ICT infrastructure, and life-safety systems. This role requires close collaboration with sales teams, consultants, OEMs, and clients to deliver competitive, compliant, and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Design & Engineering:
- Review RFQs, tender documents, specifications, drawings, and BOQs related to ELV projects.
- Design integrated ELV and Smart Building solutions tailored to project requirements.
- Prepare system architecture, network topology, riser diagrams, and technical schematics.
- Perform equipment sizing, solution optimization, and value engineering to maximize efficiency.
- Develop detailed BOQs and accurate cost estimates.
- Ensure all designs comply with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.
- Engage in technical discussions with clients, consultants, and contractors to clarify and refine solutions.

ELV Systems Expertise:
- Hands-on experience designing and proposing solutions for CCTV and Video Surveillance Systems, Access Control Systems, and Video Management Systems (VMS).
- Knowledge of Public Address and Voice Evacuation (PAVA) systems.
- Expertise in Structured Cabling (Copper and Fiber), LAN/WAN Infrastructure, and Video Intercom Systems.
- Familiarity with Audio Visual and Conference Systems, IP Telephony Systems, and Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems.
- Experience with Parking and Visitor Management Systems, Physical Security Information Management (PSIM), and Smart Building Solutions.
- Proficiency in Building Management System (BMS) Integration, Fire Alarm Integration, and Command & Control Center Solutions.

Proposal & Pre-Sales:
- Prepare comprehensive technical and commercial proposals.
- Develop compliance matrices and tender documentation to meet client and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct bid risk assessments and identify potential commercial risks.
- Coordinate with OEMs for solution selection, pricing, and technical support.
- Participate in bid clarification meetings and deliver technical presentations.
- Support the sales team throughout the pre-sales process to ensure timely and high-quality proposal submissions.

Vendor & Team Leadership:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with leading OEMs and technology partners.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance offerings.
- Negotiate technical and commercial terms with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
- Review technical submissions prepared by proposal engineers to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Mentor and develop team members, establishing proposal standards and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:
- 8 to 10 years of experience in ELV systems design, engineering, and proposal management.
- Proven track record delivering proposals for projects in commercial, hospitality, healthcare, mixed-use developments, airports, data centers, or smart cities.
- Strong understanding of integrated security systems and smart building technologies.
