Lead Full-Stack Engineer – AI Product Development

We are seeking a Lead Full-Stack Engineer with 7 to 10 years of experience, who possesses a strong product mindset and hands-on expertise in building AI-native applications. This role requires ownership of product areas end-to-end, including technical planning, development, testing, deployment, and production support. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a hybrid environment across Lahore, Karachi, or Islamabad and will lead technical efforts while actively contributing to the codebase.

Key Responsibilities

- Own features and product areas from scoping and technical specification through to production delivery.
- Develop detailed technical plans and specifications prior to development, adhering to Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing practices.
- Build scalable backend services using Python, Flask, SQLAlchemy 2.0, PostgreSQL, Alembic, Pydantic v2, Celery, and Redis.
- Create modern frontend applications utilizing React, TypeScript, Vite, TanStack Query, and Tailwind CSS.
- Manage containerization and deployment processes with Docker, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines, including end-to-end testing.
- Integrate AI coding agents such as Claude Code or similar tools into daily development workflows.
- Review and validate AI-generated code to ensure quality, security, and correctness.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
- Provide technical leadership while maintaining a hands-on approach to development.

Required Qualifications

- 7 to 10 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong full-stack development skills with Python/Flask on the backend and React/TypeScript on the frontend.
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy 2.0, and REST API design and implementation.
- Experience working with Docker, AWS cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and TDD methodologies.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding agents or AI-assisted development tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities combined with a strong sense of product ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with pgvector or similar vector database extensions.
- Background in building large language model (LLM) applications or AI/Generative AI pipelines.
- Experience developing multi-tenant SaaS applications.
