Lead Full Stack Engineer (AI-Assisted Development)

This onsite role based in Islamabad seeks a highly skilled Lead Full Stack Engineer with expertise in .NET and React.js to design, develop, and deliver scalable, high-performance full-stack applications. The candidate will take ownership of complex features and contribute to architectural decisions while collaborating closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and other teams. Experience in AI-driven software development is essential, including the use of approved AI tools like Claude Code to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, and documentation, all while adhering to strict security and confidentiality policies. This position demands strong leadership, mentoring capabilities, and a commitment to engineering best practices throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment of robust .NET Core applications.
- Make architecture-level decisions and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Design and develop secure, scalable .NET Web APIs and backend services.
- Develop and maintain responsive React.js frontend applications.
- Implement state management using Redux, Redux Toolkit, Context API, or similar technologies.
- Ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend with optimal API performance.
- Write clean, secure, scalable, and maintainable code following SOLID principles and OOP best practices.
- Utilize approved AI development tools for coding, refactoring, debugging, test generation, documentation, and technical analysis.
- Review and validate AI-generated code, ensuring quality, security, and performance while maintaining accountability.
- Protect confidential information, source code, client data, and intellectual property during AI-assisted development.
- Lead and mentor engineering teams, providing technical guidance and fostering professional growth.
- Define and enforce coding standards, architectural patterns, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical designs.
- Participate in system design, architectural decisions, and performance optimization.
- Ensure application reliability through unit and integration testing in collaboration with QA.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and coordinate with DevOps for smooth deployments.
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 5–7 years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on .NET technologies.
- Expertise in .NET Core, Entity Framework, C#, and Web APIs.
- Solid hands-on experience with React.js and modern frontend development.
- Experience with Redux, Redux Toolkit, Context API, or equivalent state management solutions.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Server, Azure Services, and Visual Studio.
- Familiarity with MongoDB, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, and relational SQL databases.
- Proven experience in unit testing, integration testing, and ensuring solution reliability.
- Practical experience using approved AI coding assistants such as Claude Code within professional workflows, including spec-driven development, BMAD, AI agents, and MCP servers.
- Ability to critically review AI-generated code for functionality, security, maintainability, and compliance.
- Understanding of secure and responsible AI usage, including organizational policies on data handling, confidentiality, and intellectual property.
- Prior experience leading a team or owning a technical workstream is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies; DevOps experience is a plus.
