Lead I - Software Testing- Python, Playwright, AWS

We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 4 to 6 years of experience in test automation and quality engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and maintaining automated test frameworks, particularly using Playwright and Python. This role involves working closely with development teams to ensure robust testing of Python-based applications and APIs, with a focus on REST API automation and cloud-based environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks and test suites using Playwright.
- Design and implement automation scripts primarily in Python to test applications and APIs.
- Perform comprehensive REST API testing, including authentication, request/response validation, error handling, integration, and regression testing.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and support application deployments.
- Execute regression test suites as part of the deployment process to ensure software quality.
- Test applications deployed on cloud platforms, with a focus on AWS and Microsoft Azure environments.
- Conduct various testing types such as functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and negative testing.
- Troubleshoot issues and analyze test results to identify defects and areas for improvement.

Required Qualifications

- 4 to 6 years of professional experience in SDET, test automation, or quality engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for automation framework development.
- Proficient in Python programming, especially for test automation of Python-based applications and APIs.
- Extensive experience in REST API testing and automation, including handling authentication and validating request/response cycles.
- Proven ability to integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines and execute regression suites during deployments.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Microsoft Azure, with experience testing cloud-deployed applications.
- Deep knowledge of various testing methodologies such as functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and negative testing.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and analytical mindset to effectively diagnose and resolve issues.
