Lead I - Software Testing- TOSCA + Playwright Automation

We are seeking an experienced Software Test Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing build verification, regression, and feature testing while developing and maintaining automated test scripts. This role involves creating reusable test data, analyzing and coding automation scripts, and documenting test results to ensure software quality. You will work closely with development, QA, and business teams to convert requirements into effective test cases and implement tests using tools such as Zephyr. A strong focus on quality assurance, issue tracking, and continuous improvement is essential to ensure that all development tasks meet established quality criteria.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like TOSCA, Playwright, and Postman to support regression and feature testing.
- Create detailed test plans and strategies based on project requirements, leveraging Zephyr for test management.
- Perform build verification testing, regression testing, and feature testing to validate software functionality.
- Identify, document, and track defects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and communication with relevant teams.
- Collaborate effectively with development, QA, and business stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage and alignment with business goals.
- Analyze test results, perform root cause analysis on defects, and recommend solutions to improve product quality.
- Document the quality testing process, including evaluation methods, test results, and improvements made to systems.
- Review requirement and design documents to create detailed, comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and test estimates.
- Provide regular status reports on testing progress, defect metrics, and overall quality to project partners.
- Continuously identify areas for improvement in the testing process and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 6 years of experience in software testing with a strong emphasis on automation.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks including Playwright, TOSCA, and Jenkins.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent qualification in software testing.
- Solid experience working with SQL databases and familiarity with multiple programming environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in software test strategy development, test case writing, execution, and analysis.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and defect management processes.
- Ability to review specifications and requirement documents to provide accurate feedback and effort estimations.
- Skilled in creating well-structured test plans, scenarios, and coordinating testing activities effectively.
