Lead Instructor (Part Time) - AI Solutions Engineering Program

Edversity is seeking a part-time Lead Instructor to oversee its Forward Deployed AI Engineer program, a fully remote, 12-week course delivered through live online classes. This role is ideal for experienced AI professionals who wish to combine their industry expertise with teaching, guiding students to become client-ready AI engineers. The Forward Deployed AI Engineer works closely with clients to identify business challenges and develop AI-driven solutions, including large language model applications, agents, and automation, deployed in real-world environments.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership:
- Develop and maintain the curriculum, ensuring clear course structure, learning outcomes, projects, and assessments.
- Support and mentor teaching assistants to maintain consistent teaching quality.
- Establish grading standards and project evaluation rubrics.
- Collaborate with the Edversity team to align the program with current employer needs and hiring trends.
- Provide regular updates on student progress and recommend improvements to the program.

Teaching & Mentorship:
- Deliver live lectures, labs, and workshops covering core and advanced AI engineering topics during scheduled sessions.
- Teach practical skills in LLM application development, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, tool usage, fine-tuning basics, and model evaluation.
- Conduct client-simulation exercises focusing on requirement gathering, solution design, prototyping, and stakeholder presentations.
- Supervise capstone projects where students build and deploy production-ready AI solutions.
- Review student code and system architecture, offering detailed, actionable feedback.
- Coach students on consulting, communication, and documentation skills essential for client-facing roles.

Continuous Improvement:
- Keep course materials up to date with the latest AI models, frameworks, and deployment techniques.
- Contribute reusable teaching assets such as lab environments, starter templates, and project datasets.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ industry experience in AI/ML engineering, software engineering, solutions engineering, or forward deployed engineering, including hands-on work delivering AI or LLM-based products.
- At least 1 year of teaching, corporate training, or team leadership experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python and working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Proven experience deploying AI applications in cloud environments and integrating them with client systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Urdu.
- Availability to teach live online sessions with a reliable internet connection and appropriate remote teaching setup.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in forward deployed, solutions engineering, or AI consulting roles with direct client interaction.
- Cloud or AI certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of AI safety, data privacy, security, and responsible AI practices in client deployments.
- Experience designing bootcamp-style or project-based technical training programs.

Tools & Technologies
Candidates should be familiar with a broad range of programming languages, frameworks, and AI tools, including Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, FastAPI, Flask, Node.js, React, Streamlit, and Gradio. Experience with LLM providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, and Meta Llama, as well as open-source models via Hugging Face or similar platforms, is essential. Familiarity with AI engineering frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, and LlamaIndex, and vector databases such as Pinecone and Weaviate is expected.

Additional competencies include evaluation tools (LangSmith, Weights & Biases), ML libraries (Pandas, NumPy, PyTorch), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, API integration, and collaboration tools like Git, Jira, Notion, and Zoom. Teaching tools such as Google Classroom, Miro, and session recording software are also part of the role.
