Lead Java Engineer - Java Fullstack, Microservices, ReactJS

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Java Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions, focusing on Java, Microservices, and ReactJS technologies. This position requires aligning technical deliverables with the organization’s broader technology strategy and business goals, ensuring scalable and efficient application development.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the development of Java-based applications using the Spring Framework and Microservices architecture.
- Implement front-end solutions utilizing React.js and manage multiple front-end micro-frontend (MFE) architectures.
- Perform database development tasks involving PostgreSQL or Oracle, ensuring seamless integration with application services.
- Oversee application containerization and manage deployments on Azure or similar cloud platforms.
- Design and build robust back-end Microservices and RESTful APIs to support business functionality.
- Maintain and enhance existing codebases, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards.
- Conduct thorough unit testing and perform code reviews to maintain code integrity across the team.
- Enforce coding best practices and actively participate in SCRUM ceremonies to support Agile development processes.
- Engage in project estimation and planning sessions to deliver projects within timelines.
- Mentor junior developers and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive project success.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Java development, including expertise in Java 8, Core Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as React.js, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience deploying and managing applications on Azure or comparable cloud platforms.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and RESTful web services.
- Proven background in unit testing methodologies and conducting peer code reviews.
- Competency in database technologies, preferably SQL Server, with experience in API and microservices implementation.
- Ability to actively participate in SCRUM ceremonies and Agile planning sessions, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of the financial services industry, with a particular focus on wealth management, is highly desirable.
- Experience working with PostgreSQL or Oracle database systems is an advantage.
