Lead / Manager - Costing

This role involves supporting the development of the annual business plan while managing detailed product costing for apparel and related products. The candidate will analyze material, labor, overhead, and production costs to ensure accurate and efficient cost management. Monitoring standard versus actual costing and investigating variances will be a key part of the position. Additionally, the role requires conducting product profitability and margin analysis to support business decisions.

The successful candidate will ensure that all costing data is accurately maintained within the ERP system and will identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Coordination with cross-functional teams including Production, Merchandising, Product Development, and Supply Chain is essential. The role also involves tracking and reporting work-in-progress (WIP) inventories and driving automation or re-engineering of business processes within the assigned area.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing the Annual Business Plan.
- Prepare and review product costing for apparel and related products, including Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Analyze material, labor, overhead, and production costs to maintain cost accuracy.
- Monitor and report on standard versus actual costing and investigate variances.
- Conduct product profitability and margin analysis to support strategic decisions.
- Ensure accurate costing data entry and maintenance within the ERP system.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Merchandising, Product Development, and Supply Chain teams.
- Track and report on Work-In-Progress (WIP) inventories.
- Automate or re-engineer business processes within the assigned area to improve efficiency.

Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Finance, MBA, or professional qualifications such as CMA or ACCA.
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in costing, preferably within textile or apparel manufacturing.
- Strong expertise in product costing, BOM preparation, inventory management, and variance analysis.
- Practical experience with ERP systems and proficiency in office automation tools.

Location:
This position is based at the Head Office in Karachi and requires in-person attendance.
