Lead Motion Graphics Video Editor

Team Zealancy is seeking a skilled Video Editor with expertise in storytelling, motion design, and AI visual generation to transform raw footage and creative ideas into captivating, high-retention YouTube content. This role focuses on documentary-style, talking-head, creator-led, and long-form YouTube videos. Candidates will be evaluated based on their portfolio, editing judgment, storytelling ability, technical skills, and creative execution rather than job titles. A deep understanding of why edits work, pacing, sound, visuals, motion graphics, and AI-generated content is essential to enhance viewer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Edit long-form YouTube videos from raw footage to final delivery.
- Develop strong intros and hooks that generate curiosity and maintain viewer attention.
- Structure videos with a focus on storytelling, pacing, and retention.
- Create and integrate motion graphics, typography, animations, and visual effects.
- Use B-roll, graphics, screenshots, stock footage, music, and sound effects purposefully.
- Generate and incorporate AI visuals for storytelling, B-roll, concepts, and creative sequences using tools like Higgsfield AI.
- Blend AI-generated visuals with traditional editing, motion design, graphics, and sound to ensure visual consistency.
- Apply basic color correction and grading as needed.
- Translate scripts, dialogue, and creative concepts into engaging visual sequences.
- Accurately replicate editing styles based on references without direct copying.
- Apply fundamental graphic design and layout principles when creating visual assets.
- Manage revisions professionally and efficiently.
- Take ownership of projects and communicate any blockers promptly.
- Deliver high-quality work within agreed deadlines.

Required Qualifications:
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
- Strong knowledge of motion design and animation principles.
- Excellent sense of pacing, rhythm, sound design, and visual composition.
- Good typography and layout skills.
- Basic understanding of color correction and grading.
- Strong ability to select B-roll and tell stories visually.
- Effective project organization and asset management skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot routine editing and workflow issues independently.
- Hands-on experience with AI visual generation and AI-assisted creative workflows.
- Familiarity with Higgsfield AI or similar AI image and video generation platforms.
- Ability to generate, refine, and integrate AI visuals while maintaining visual consistency, realism, and quality.
- Strong English comprehension, especially for working with English-language scripts.
- Understanding of YouTube storytelling and viewer retention strategies.
- Ability to analyze and explain why specific editing decisions work.
- Capability to translate scripts and abstract ideas into compelling AI-assisted visual sequences.
- Familiarity with creator-led content styles, such as those by Johnny Harris and Colin & Samir.

Compensation ranges from PKR 45,000 to 120,000+ per month, depending on portfolio strength, technical skills, creative judgment, experience, and trial performance. Selected candidates may also be eligible for performance-based earning opportunities, revenue sharing, performance partnerships, and medical benefits as per company policy.

The position is full-time, based onsite in Karachi, with working hours from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The selection process emphasizes portfolio quality, and candidates with strong, relevant portfolios may benefit from an accelerated evaluation.
