Lead Proposal

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Proposal professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical equipment manufacturing, with expertise in tendering, technical proposal development, and cost estimation. This role focuses on boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other static process equipment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in preparing competitive and compliant proposals that meet client requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the preparation and submission of technical and commercial proposals in response to RFQs and tenders, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Review tender documents, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) thoroughly.
- Prepare and validate detailed cost estimates covering all aspects of manufacturing including materials, fabrication, welding, machining, testing, and inspection.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, Procurement, QA/QC, and Sales/Marketing teams to develop technically sound and commercially competitive bids.
- Evaluate and apply relevant codes and standards such as ASME BPVC, TEMA, and other industry specifications to ensure compliance.
- Manage pre-bid and post-bid clarifications, identify potential technical and commercial risks, and support the development of bid strategies.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to proposal team members, contributing to continuous improvement in estimation accuracy, costing systems, and overall proposal quality.
- Facilitate the smooth handover of approved cost estimates and related documentation to Project Management upon contract award.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in proposals, tendering, estimation, or costing within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other static process equipment.
- Working knowledge of ASME codes, material specifications, fabrication processes, and inspection requirements.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, verifying BOQs, and preparing cost estimates.
- Advanced skills in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical abilities, coordination skills, effective communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
