A leading organization is seeking a skilled Lead Quality Control (QC) professional with a background in Mechanical Engineering and substantial experience in the field. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of relevant experience and will be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to industry standards and project specifications. This role requires hands-on involvement in quality assurance processes, coordination of inspection activities, and close collaboration with site teams and clients to maintain high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. The position is full-time and requires the candidate to work on-site.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with API 653, API 650, approved drawings, project procedures, and specifications.
- Prepare Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), welding procedures, and inspection requirements.
- Coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities including Visual Testing (VT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), and other required inspections.
- Monitor welding operations, fit-up, dimensional checks, structural inspections, and coating inspections to maintain quality standards.
- Review material certificates and ensure complete material traceability throughout the project.
- Identify, control, and resolve Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and other quality issues in collaboration with the site team.
- Review and compile the final QA/QC dossier, including inspection reports and test records, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Coordinate with clients and inspectors regarding hold and witness points to facilitate smooth inspection processes.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) degree.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar role within the industry.
- Strong knowledge of API 653 and API 650 standards.
- Proven experience in preparing ITPs, WPS/PQRs, and managing welding procedures.
- Hands-on experience with various NDT methods and inspection techniques.
- Ability to review and interpret technical drawings and material certificates.
- Excellent problem-solving skills related to quality control and assurance.
- Effective coordination and communication skills to work with clients, inspectors, and site teams.

Work Location

This is an in-person position requiring the candidate to be present at the project site.
