The Lead, Student Development & Community Integration plays a pivotal role in fostering an inclusive and engaging campus environment. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and embedding programs that support student growth in leadership, community engagement, volunteerism, and overall holistic development. The role involves leading key initiatives such as the First-Year Experience, student leadership development, student governance, inclusion efforts, community integration, volunteer engagement, and managing meta-curricular records. The incumbent will work collaboratively with both academic and administrative teams to ensure these programs align with institutional goals and effectively support student success.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement comprehensive programs that promote student leadership, belonging, and community engagement.
- Lead and coordinate initiatives related to the First-Year Experience to support new student transition and retention.
- Oversee student leadership development and student governance activities, ensuring meaningful student participation and empowerment.
- Develop and promote inclusive practices that foster a sense of belonging among diverse student populations.
- Facilitate community integration efforts by building partnerships within and outside the institution.
- Manage volunteer engagement programs to encourage active student participation in service and civic activities.
- Maintain and oversee meta-curricular records to track student involvement and achievements beyond academics.
- Collaborate closely with academic departments, administrative units, and external stakeholders to align student development initiatives with broader institutional objectives.
- Monitor program effectiveness through assessment and feedback mechanisms, making data-driven improvements as needed.
- Serve as a resource and mentor for students, staff, and faculty involved in student development and community integration activities.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in student development, leadership programming, or community engagement within an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of student governance, volunteer management, and inclusion strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and evaluate programs that support student growth and engagement.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- Experience working with first-year student programs and initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive campus environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
