The Senior Officer - Electrical & Instrumentation plays a crucial role in delivering field-based technical inspections and verification support for Auto Tank Gauging (ATG) system deployments at a leading petroleum company. This role primarily focuses on the installation, commissioning, and testing of E&I systems across assigned retail fuel stations, ensuring that all procedures comply with approved company standards. The specialist evaluates the physical condition and safety of fuel tanks, verifies tank capacities and types, and identifies any installation defects, non-conformities, or unsafe conditions that may compromise system integrity or operational safety. This position requires hands-on expertise in ATG site surveys and a thorough understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems within fuel station environments. The incumbent collaborates closely with technical teams to ensure that all installations meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. By conducting detailed inspections and timely reporting, the Senior Officer supports the safe and efficient operation of the company’s fuel infrastructure, contributing to overall project success. 


Responsibilities
  • Conduct ATG site surveys at assigned retail fuel stations, including verify fuel tank capacity, type, and physical condition.
  • Inspection of ATG probes, sensors, consoles, and accessories.
  • Verify electrical power supply, UPS, earthing, and cable routes.
  • Inspect ATG installation against approved drawings and specifications.
  • Inspect cables, glands, junction boxes, barriers, and terminations.
  • Verify equipment identification, labeling, and physical condition.
  • Perform basic electrical and instrumentation checks.
  • Support ATG testing and commissioning activities.
  • Assist with Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
  • Identify installation defects, non-conformities, and safety issues.
  • Record site observations and maintain photographic evidence.
  • Support troubleshooting of basic ATG electrical and communication faults.
  • Verify completion of corrective actions and punch-list items.
  • Coordinate with station personnel, contractors, and ATG technicians.
  • Prepare daily inspection and field activity reports.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, electrical, and hazardous-area requirements.
  • Escalate major technical issues to the Electrical Engineer and support final site handover.
  • Hands on experience of 4~5 Years in the field of Electrical and instruments.
