We are looking for a committed Social Studies educator to teach secondary school students across subjects including history, geography, American government, political science, and humanities. The role requires delivering instruction aligned with the core curriculum and other learning activities approved by the Board of Education. The successful candidate will promote students’ understanding of citizenship and essential subject matter in compliance with state laws and school district policies. Additionally, the educator will encourage critical thinking and interpersonal skills to prepare students for informed and responsible citizenship.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction in Social Studies, history, geography, American government, political science, or humanities to secondary school students using the approved curriculum and learning activities.
- Teach citizenship and core subject content as mandated by state law and school district regulations.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social studies program that integrates factual knowledge, current events, discussions, and activities designed to enhance students’ skills, attitudes, and capacity for making informed value judgments through scientific inquiry.
- Provide individualized and small group instruction tailored to students’ diverse intellectual abilities, attitudes, and cultural backgrounds, ensuring the curriculum is accessible and relevant to all learners.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MA/MS) in International Relations, Development Studies, Public Policy and Governance, or Public Administration.
- Strong academic background in Economics and Political Science.
- At least five years of teaching experience in relevant social studies subjects at the secondary level.
Additional Details
This is a full-time, contract position with a duration of 24 months. The salary range is Rs35,000 to Rs40,000 per month. The position is based in Rawalpindi, and candidates must be able to reliably commute or be willing to relocate prior to starting employment.
