As a Legal Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting the legal team by managing contracts, monitoring compliance, and conducting regulatory research. You will assist senior legal staff with dispute resolution and contract drafting, while also contributing to the protection of intellectual property and ensuring adherence to corporate governance standards. This position requires a proactive approach to legal risk assessment and effective communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with local and international laws.
- Conduct legal research on regulatory updates related to data privacy, intellectual property, and corporate law.
- Support pre-litigation dispute management by preparing documentation and coordinating with external counsel.
- Help protect and enforce the company’s intellectual property rights.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of corporate governance policies across departments.
- Perform basic legal risk assessments and present findings to senior legal staff for informed decision-making.
- Maintain communication with regulatory bodies and business partners to support compliance efforts.
- Manage the company’s intellectual property portfolio, ensuring alignment with relevant regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- L.L.B. or L.L.M. degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in transactional or corporate law; 1 year of litigation experience at a law firm is preferred.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Proven ability to draft, review, and revise legal agreements with strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Competent in conducting thorough legal research.
- Availability to work the evening shift from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM PKT.
