Legal Counsel

Nysonian Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Counsel to support the company’s legal functions, primarily focusing on US legal matters. This full-time, in-person role based in Islamabad requires working hours from 6 PM to 2 AM PKT. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal assistance to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, manage contracts, conduct legal research, and support corporate governance. Prior experience with US laws and working in US-based companies is essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and legal support related to the company’s US legal affairs.
- Prepare, file, and manage legal documents, contracts, and reports in compliance with US laws.
- Conduct thorough legal research on US laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, memos, and correspondence.
- Organize and maintain legal records, case files, and confidential materials securely.
- Monitor legal timelines, deadlines, and compliance requirements for various projects.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams, external law firms, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with corporate governance tasks, including preparing meeting minutes and board resolutions.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and legal trends in both the US and Pakistan.
- Perform additional legal administrative duties as needed.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Legal Counsel or in a legal administrative role within a US-based company.
- Strong understanding of US laws, regulations, and legal systems.
- Experience handling contracts, litigation, compliance, and corporate governance matters.
- Proficiency in legal research and case management software.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Knowledge and expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) applications is a plus.
