We are seeking an experienced Purchase Manager with expertise in local steel procurement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing suppliers for steel and other raw materials required in lawn mower and turf equipment manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and establish relationships with local steel suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate competitive pricing and payment terms for raw materials.
- Ensure timely procurement of high-quality steel and other manufacturing materials.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier performance, and inventory levels.
- Monitor market trends and price fluctuations in the steel industry.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure material availability aligns with demand.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and industry standards.
Requirements:
- Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in purchasing steel and raw materials at a local level.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of different steel grades, specifications, and pricing factors.
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
