Linehaul Planning Lead-Logistics

This role involves leading the end-to-end planning and optimization of the linehaul network within Daraz logistics operations. The focus is on ensuring cost efficiency, reliable service, and scalability to support the company’s growth. The position requires designing and implementing strategic transportation plans across major trade lanes, taking into account volume forecasts, service level agreements, and capacity constraints. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to align linehaul strategies with commercial growth objectives and seasonal demand variations. The role also includes developing dynamic routing and scheduling models using data analytics and optimization tools to enhance asset utilization and reduce transit times. Additionally, the candidate will work closely with carriers, third-party logistics providers, and internal operations teams to execute plans, monitor key performance indicators such as transit compliance and cost per parcel, and drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the comprehensive planning and optimization of the linehaul network to ensure operational efficiency and scalability.
- Design and implement strategic transportation plans based on volume forecasts, service level agreements, and capacity limitations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to synchronize linehaul strategies with commercial growth plans and manage seasonal demand fluctuations.
- Develop and maintain dynamic routing and scheduling models utilizing data analytics and optimization techniques to improve asset utilization and minimize transit times.
- Partner with carriers, 3PL providers, and internal teams to execute transportation plans, monitor KPIs such as transit compliance and cost per parcel, and facilitate continuous improvement through detailed root cause analysis and corrective measures.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or large-scale e-commerce supply chain planning.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools such as SQL or AI-based analytics platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of global trade compliance, carrier management, and multimodal transportation economics.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and translate complex operational data into actionable business insights.
