The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice and support to the company, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. As a key member of the legal department, you will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and managing various legal documents, as well as representing the organization in legal matters. The ideal candidate will have strong legal expertise, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

Legal Document Review & Analysis

  • Review, analyze, and interpret legal documents, including contracts, lease agreements, and government regulations, to ensure compliance with local and international laws.

Legal Advice & Compliance

  • Provide legal advice to management and employees on a wide range of topics, including compliance, risk management, intellectual property rights, and other legal issues impacting the company.

Contract Drafting & Negotiation

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure the organization's interests are fully protected.

Litigation & Legal Disputes

  • Manage legal disputes and legal proceedings by coordinating with external legal counsel and representing the company’s interests in court or other legal proceedings.

Legal Research & Development

  • Stay updated on legal developments and changes in legislation to ensure the company operates in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and best practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with various departments (e.g., HR, Finance, Operations) to identify legal risks and opportunities and provide strategic legal input on business decisions.

External Counsel & Vendor Management

  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with external legal counsel and vendors, ensuring seamless and cost-effective delivery of legal services.

Record Keeping & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of legal transactions, agreements, and legal proceedings, ensuring they are accessible and properly documented.

Criminal Law

  • Areas of Expertise: Defense in criminal cases, understanding of criminal procedure, plea bargaining, trial advocacy, and post-conviction representation.

Corporate Law

  • Areas of Expertise: Mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, compliance, contract negotiation, intellectual property, and securities regulation.
  • Skills Developed: Strong analytical skills, negotiation skills, understanding of business structures, and familiarity with regulatory frameworks.
  • Typical Clients: Corporations, small businesses, startups, and non-profit organizations.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); Master’s degree or additional legal certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate law, with expertise in contract law dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance. Prior experience in a similar role in a corporate or legal firm is highly preferred.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English (written and spoken), Arabic would be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of local and international legal frameworks.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and drafting skills.
  • Ability to handle complex legal matters and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with managing legal disputes and interacting with external legal bodies.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate law, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
