Linux Server Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Linux Server Administrator / Hosting Engineer with Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting Linux servers, web hosting platforms, virtualization environments, networking, and production infrastructure. This role demands strong hands-on Linux administration skills and the ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve critical production server issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Linux servers running RHEL, AlmaLinux, CloudLinux, and CentOS.
- Administer and troubleshoot cPanel/WHM servers.
- Oversee virtualization environments including Proxmox VE and Virtualizor.
- Monitor server performance, uptime, resource utilization, backups, and security.
- Troubleshoot issues related to high CPU load, memory, storage, disk I/O, network, and services.
- Resolve problems involving WordPress, PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, DNS, SSL, and email systems.
- Conduct server migrations, backups, restorations, and disaster recovery operations.
- Investigate and remediate malware infections, security incidents, abuse complaints, and DDoS attacks.
- Configure and manage firewalls, networking, NAT, IP addresses, and overall server security.
- Perform server hardening and implement security improvements.
- Optimize server performance, stability, and reliability continuously.
- Provide technical support for escalated server and hosting issues.
- Conduct root-cause analysis beyond standard troubleshooting procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of server configurations, changes, and incidents.

Required Qualifications
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification is mandatory.
- Proven hands-on experience in Linux Server Administration, particularly with RHEL and Red Hat-based systems.
- Strong command-line Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Practical experience managing cPanel/WHM environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of Proxmox VE and Virtualizor virtualization platforms.
- Solid understanding of Linux networking and server security principles.

Technical Skills
- Expertise with RHEL, AlmaLinux, CloudLinux, CentOS.
- Proficient in cPanel/WHM administration.
- Experience with Proxmox VE and Virtualizor virtualization.
- Familiarity with Apache, Nginx, LiteSpeed web servers.
- Knowledge of PHP, MySQL/MariaDB databases.
- Experience with DNS/DNSSEC, SSL/TLS, SMTP/IMAP/POP3 protocols.
- Skills in firewall configuration, NAT, TCP/IP networking.
- RAID and storage management capabilities.
- Server backup, restoration, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- WordPress troubleshooting expertise.
- Malware detection and removal.
- Server security hardening and DDoS mitigation.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification is an advantage.
- Experience working in hosting companies or data centers.
- Expertise in large-scale cPanel/WHM administration.
- Familiarity with CloudLinux and LiteSpeed web servers.
- Experience with Proxmox clustering and Virtualizor.
- Skills in Bash scripting, automation, Ansible, Docker, and Git.
- Advanced networking knowledge.
- Experience with server monitoring systems and security incident handling.

We are looking for a technically strong professional who goes beyond basic hosting support and standard troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Linux systems at the server level, be capable of investigating complex issues, identifying root causes, and confidently managing critical production infrastructure.

This is an in-person role based in Lahore. Candidates must possess RHCSA certification and practical hands-on Linux server administration experience. Experience with hosting infrastructure, cPanel/WHM, Proxmox VE, and Virtualizor is highly preferred.

The offered salary range is Rs80,000 to Rs150,000 per month, reflecting experience and expertise. This is a full-time position located at our Lahore office.
