Logistics Executive

The Logistics Executive will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating all logistics activities, ensuring smooth operations from booking to delivery. This position involves close communication with customers, warehouses, and internal teams to handle shipment movements, documentation, and customer requirements efficiently. The role requires maintaining accurate records, monitoring warehouse operations, and supporting the resolution of any logistics-related issues. The Logistics Executive will work onsite at the Rawalpindi office, reporting to the Logistics Supervisor or Manager, with working hours from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate customer logistics requirements from booking through to completion, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding deliveries, collections, shipment updates, and estimated times of arrival (ETAs).
- Liaise with warehouses to manage loading, unloading, delivery slots, and operational hours effectively.
- Provide warehouses with precise delivery, shipment, and container information to facilitate smooth operations.
- Monitor and oversee warehouse loading and unloading activities to maintain efficiency.
- Manage customer queries and operational requests promptly and professionally.
- Verify shipment details before arranging transportation to avoid errors.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipment and container records.
- Update internal systems and logistics portals regularly to reflect current shipment statuses.
- Ensure Proof of Delivery (POD) documents and delivery records are checked and maintained properly.
- Monitor additional charges such as waiting time, warehouse labor, storage, and failed delivery fees, and communicate these with customers when applicable.
- Support the commercial team by providing transport and logistics quotations as needed.
- Assist in resolving customer complaints and operational issues to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Keep all relevant stakeholders informed about delays, changes, and shipment progress.
- Escalate any significant customer or operational issues to the Logistics Supervisor or Manager promptly.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations.
- Strong customer service and communication skills to handle diverse customer interactions.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Good understanding of container handling and warehouse operations.
- Ability to manage multiple customer requirements simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and logistics portals for efficient data management.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with customers, warehouses, transport teams, and internal departments.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- A bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant experience in freight forwarding operations will be an advantage.
