We are looking for a dedicated Logistics and Transportation Manager to lead and coordinate all facets of our logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising, and optimizing transportation activities to ensure the efficient and compliant movement of goods. This position demands strong leadership abilities, keen attention to detail, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to maintain a smooth logistics flow.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and monitor logistics and transportation operations to guarantee timely deliveries and high service quality. Supervise fleet activities, including dispatching, routing, and vehicle tracking, to maximize operational efficiency. Ensure full compliance with transportation regulations and company policies at all times. Maintain accurate records and reports related to vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules. Work closely with vendors, drivers, and internal departments to facilitate seamless logistics processes. Optimize transportation routes to reduce costs while maintaining service standards. Manage inventory movement between locations when applicable. Promptly address and resolve any transportation-related issues to minimize disruptions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field. A minimum of three years’ experience in logistics and transportation management. Strong knowledge of local and regional transportation regulations. Excellent organizational and communication skills to effectively manage teams and coordinate with stakeholders. Proficiency in MS Office applications, with experience in ERP systems considered an advantage. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team successfully.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Intermediate education level is preferred. At least one year of experience specifically in logistics is desirable. Candidates residing near the SITE Area in Karachi are preferred. The position is full-time and based in Karachi, requiring in-person attendance. The starting salary for this role is Rs50,000 per month.
