LPG Cylinder Technician

Key Responsibilities
The LPG Cylinder Technician will be based on-site in Islamabad and is responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining LPG cylinders and related equipment in line with safety standards and company procedures. This includes verifying cylinder conditions, proper labeling, setup, and ensuring safe storage and stacking practices. The technician will install LPG cylinders, coordinate with the operations team regarding delivery schedules, and document all inspection and maintenance activities accurately. Prompt reporting of any safety or quality concerns is essential. Additionally, the technician will assist in troubleshooting minor issues such as leaks or faulty valves, follow emergency response protocols, and maintain clear communication with team members to support safe and efficient LPG distribution operations.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should possess technical skills related to LPG cylinders and equipment, including basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of gas handling procedures. Familiarity with inspection and maintenance tools is necessary. A strong understanding of LPG safety standards, hazard identification, and proper use of personal protective equipment is required, along with strict adherence to company safety policies. Operational skills such as managing delivery schedules, maintaining cylinder inventory, and accurate record-keeping are essential. Effective communication and teamwork abilities are important, including clear verbal communication, the ability to follow written instructions, and collaboration with operations, customer service, and supervisory staff. Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving cylinders, working outdoors or in warehouse environments, and standing for extended periods, is required. Basic education at the secondary school level or technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial fields is preferred. Candidates must be willing to work in shifts, follow emergency procedures, and participate in ongoing safety and technical training.
