Our client, Haier, is seeking a skilled LQA Engineer - Quality Assurance Specialist based in Lahore. In this critical role, the engineer will oversee process control parameters, inspection activities, and maintain detailed documentation to ensure the highest quality standards are met. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving product quality issues through root cause analysis, CAPA, and corrective action management. The engineer will also be responsible for designing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), conducting training sessions for line inspectors and operators, and leading daily internal audits to promote a safe and efficient workplace using 6S principles. Collaboration with global experts and strict adherence to ISO standards are essential to drive continuous improvement in production quality and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a team of 20 quality assurance personnel to meet production quality targets and maintain compliance with safety regulations.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance objectives, plans, and management instructions to strengthen production quality.
- Ensure strict compliance with product specifications, process control parameters, and inspection standards throughout production cycles.
- Maintain thorough records of in-process inspections, rejections, rework, and quality assurance activities to ensure traceability and accountability.
- Identify quality issues during line inspections and from market feedback; conduct timely root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Prepare detailed technical reports and case studies on recurring or widespread quality issues; collaborate with international experts to develop effective solutions.
- Ensure full compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 documentation, implementation, and audit requirements.
- Develop, update, and control SOPs, Work Instructions, Inspection Standards, and Process Checklists, aligning them with product specifications, engineering changes, New Product Introduction (NPI) inputs, and supplier revisions.
- Train line inspectors, operators, and relevant staff on updated work instructions and quality standards to ensure continuous adherence.
- Coordinate with NPI and Research & Development teams on new model trials, process validations, risk identification, corrective actions, product improvements, and new product launches.
- Implement and supervise 6S workplace quality and safety systems, conducting daily internal audits to identify process gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Serve as the key technical and quality focal point for continuous improvement initiatives, offering expert guidance and solutions.
- Support department leadership in initiatives aimed at improving production quality, efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in consumer electronics or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 standards and their practical application.
- Expertise in root cause analysis, CAPA, and corrective action management.
- Experience in developing and maintaining SOPs, Work Instructions, and inspection standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage quality assurance teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for training and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in conducting internal audits and implementing 6S or similar workplace organization methodologies.
- Ability to prepare comprehensive technical reports and work with global experts on quality challenges.
