Main duty of the Graphic Design Intern is to assist in the day to day task and long running assignments of NOP Centre. He/She will be an important part in execution of the assignment either assigned by the supervisor. Keeping in mind the time constraint, for some design jobs the intern will have to work with very strict deadlines and work under pressure. Dedication to work is a must. Other expectations from the graphic design intern are:
- Developing design ideas by gathering information and data through research and looking at international practices
- Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts
- Using innovation to redefine a design within the constraints of cost and time;
- Presenting finalized ideas and concepts to department lead to be presented to clients within the deadline;
- Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work;
- Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches;
- Having hands on experience of the latest design softwares like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign primarily, other software knowledge will be an advantage
- Working as part of a team with copywriters, photographers, other designers, account executives, web developers and marketing specialists.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and communication skills
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Previous experience is preferred
- Must be extremely organized and detail oriented
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Must have ability to work independently as well as in partnership with team
- Must be able to define and work to deadlines
