Responsibilities:
The 100-acre LUMS campus is located in Lahore, the 2nd largest city in Pakistan, rich in history and cultural diversity. The campus, which is 20 minutes away from the international airport, offers a vibrant life full of cultural, literary and other social activities.
LUMS is proud to introduce you to its incredible new programme called Lifetime Learning @LUMS (LLL). This programme has been designed to offer a diverse range of short courses comprising of both academic and interest-based courses. The LLL programme aims to provide a platform where people from all walks of life can come together to learn new skills and polish their existing ones, under the training of professionals who have excelled in their respective fields.
The road to learning is truly a never-ending one, and the LLL programme celebrates that. It is open for virtually everyone to enrol, from CEOs and housewives, to students and freelancers. The courses are formulated in such a manner that participants will get a chance to indulge their passions and rediscover themselves, all with the added bonus of becoming a part of the LUMS community. The instructor must possess the following qualities:
Candidates must demonstrate the potential to teach courses in interior design in one or more of the following areas:
- residential and commercial interior design studio,
- building codes and regulatory compliance,
- materials and methods of building construction,
- interior materials and sources,
- business practices,
- sustainable design,
- digital rendering,
- presentation techniques, and
- 3D communication techniques.
Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT.
A broad background in interior design with expertise to teach in a range of areas. Proficiency in Sketch-up with plug-ins, InDesign/Adobe Creative Suite and other interior design-related software
Previous teaching experience, and professional design experience are preferred.
