Job Description

This position will be responsible to obtain employment and experiential opportunities in business and industry for MBA students and alumni. The person in this position will counsel, prepare and enhance hiring potential of MBA students, both new graduates and alumni, into the job market. Main responsibilities include:

  • Generate employment opportunities for MBA students and alumni by establishing and maintaining productive employer partnerships.
  • Help students identify employment options that match their career interests. Assist students in all aspects of the job search including resume writing, interviewing techniques and job referrals.
  • Schedule and follow up on student interviews with prospective employers.
  • Support in coordination and organization of on-campus recruitment events such as job fairs, recruitment partner visits. Make arrangements for the on-campus company visits and accompany the guests from respective organizations during on-campus tours.
  • Contact business and industry to develop reciprocally beneficial partnerships for jobs and internship opportunities.
  • Assist employers in advertising job opportunities through MBA Placement Office platform.
  • Keep a constant follow up with all the companies.
  • Make visits to various companies where interviews or tests are being arranged for MBA graduate.
  • Make arrangements and ensure smooth execution of panel sessions (Alumni and HR) and Networking Nights for the assigned sector.
  • Editing and proofreading of resumes.
  • Compiling placement and internship statistics.
  • Assisting the supervisor in coordinating on-campus recruitment/alumni sessions.
  • Scheduling mock interviews
  • Managing MPO’s social media platforms.
  • Active correspondence with both employers and students regarding placements.
  • Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
